İstiklal, where the heart of Istanbul beats, is a brimming, around 1.5 km long street. It is full of marvellous buildings sharing various stories from history with splendid architectural designs. The pedestrianized road thronged with shisha bistros, Turkish tea houses and, in particular, a portion of the city’s reputable art institutions: Galeri Zilberman, SALT Galata, Borusan Art.
Presentations at the well-known displays frequently change. You may let your guide inform you about the most intriguing spots to visit for you on that day.
Exhibitions from Turkey’s art world from the 19th century to the current day, Abidin Dino, Ara Güler and other prominent Turkish artists who have got popularity lately, may be displayed in some of these galleries.
Çiçek Pasajı is one of the oldest entertainment areas in Istiklal Street. Best place for Turkish raki, mezes and some music since 1876.
Saint Antoine Church (1763) and its fascinating architecture is a must to see.
Asmalı Mescit: One of the most colorful and entertaining areas in the modern city with its concept bars, pubs and cafes.
