Grand Bazaar, Egyptian (Spice) Market
Grand Bazaar is one of the largest covered markets in Turkey and the world. It is a center where 10,000 people work, millions of people visit every year. There are various business lines such as crafted jewels, gold, precious fabrics, shawls, carpets, furs, copper, bronze, ceramic, alabaster pots, onyx, glass and leather products. All create a rich collection of souvenirs and decorative goods. 4000 authentic shops are side by side, a world of shopping with 64 streets, 22 gates, 45,000 square meters covered area.
With your private guide’s lead, you’ll avoid getting lost in the markets and practise haggling skills to get the best deals. You can join a carpet-making workshop or try to create some pottery in ceramic workshop.
Second stop is Spice market for spices, dried fruits, cheeses, sausages, jams, nuts and seeds, locum (Turkish Delight) and other fresh edibles.
